Sleepless in Atlanta

We may lose some sleep. But it will be worth it later on in life.

A little 8 year olds hand touched my face to wake me up around 3 am this morning.   She wanted Mommy.   Now some parents all know how our children are around that time.  They want you to hold them, they want to sleep in your bed, they want you.   I’m trying to let my daughter know that she cannot sleep In my room anymore because  she getting older and I don’t want her to get used to my bed and forget about her bed.  This isn’t easy, it’s tough because  you will hear crying, whining,  sniffles, etc…

I have to stick to what I say to help my daughter.  I know a lot of parents been through this and are still going through this.  I pray and wait.  It’s not easy but God helps tremendously.   Not just for me but for my daughter as well.

Stay strong parents.  Our children  have to learn that we are not hurting them by telling that they cannot sleep with us. We are helping them so that they will sleep in their own beds and enjoy the comfort of sleep.

This may take a few sleepless  nights.  But it will be worth it.

It’s 6:27 am now, I only got a total of 4 hrs of sleep. Every little helps. Happy Monday!
